And if you plan on having the baby, you have to deal with some of the highest <a href=\"https:\/\/www.politico.com\/news\/2022\/05\/19\/why-louisianas-maternal-mortality-rates-are-so-high-00033832\" data-link-name=\"in body link\">maternal mortality rates<\/a> in the US.<\/p>\n<div id=\"sign-in-gate\">&#8230;<\/div>\n<div><\/div>\n<p class=\"dcr-1bgz3hb\">This week, Louisiana decided to descend further into dystopia and passed a first-of-its-kind law <a href=\"https:\/\/www.theguardian.com\/world\/article\/2024\/may\/23\/mifepristone-misoprostol-abortion-pills-louisiana\" data-link-name=\"in body link\">making abortion pills a controlled substance<\/a>.
