The legislation, designed to codify the right to contraception nationwide, passed, but 195 House Republicans voted against it.

Trump says he’s ‘looking at’ policies that would restrict birth control access
While it appears Trump himself has not advocated for birth control restrictions, his administration placed some limits on contraception access. For example, the Trump administration issued a regulation to expand the kinds of employers who can remove birth control coverage based on religious or moral objections. The Supreme Court ruled in 2020 that that regulation could remain.

After he admitted during a Pittsburgh television interview earlier today that he is “looking at” restrictions on contraceptives and will soon unveil “something that you’ll find interesting,” Donald Trump reversed course and made an all-caps post on Truth Social walking it back entirely.
