In a press release, White House press secretary Karine Jean-Pierre called the legislation “devastating” and argued it “put personal health care decisions in the hands of politicians rather than women and their doctors.”
Large employers express opposition after Indiana approves abortion ban
Abortion-rights groups and at least two large employers expressed opposition after Republican Indiana Gov. Eric Holcomb signed a new abortion ban into law on Friday, set to take effect on Sept. 15.

Major pharmaceutical company looks to expand out of Indiana following abortion ban
